EVENTS AND ACCOMPLISHMENTS 1978 - Started on the National and Traditional Karate Tour Every Week. For Over Twenty Years, Always Placed in the Top Two Places. 1979 - Promoted My First Karate Tournament in Baltimore, Maryland 1984 - Opened a Dojo in Chase, Maryland 1985 - Opened a Second Dojo in Middle River, Maryland 1987 - Won Jr. Masters Kata Grand Champion 1987 - Moved to a Larger Location in Middle River, Maryland 1987 - Kobudo Grand Champion 1989 - Executive Kata and Weapons Grand Champion 1989 - Rated by the Karate World Rating in the Top 10 for Katas, Weapons, and Kumite. 1990-92 - The Top Instructor in the Student and Instructor Kata Division 1992 - Kobudo Grand Champion Three Times 1993 - Master Winner of the Weapons Division in Washington, D.C. 1993 - Master Winner at Master Bill Hayes All Traditional Japanese/Okinawan Tournament in both Kata and Weapons 1995 - Inducted Into the World Martial Arts Hall of Fame as the Worlds Most Outstanding Weapons Expert 1996 - Appointed the Position of State Representative of the State of Maryland for the World Martial Arts Hall of Fame 1996 - Hosted the 1st Hall of Fame Banquet in Baltimore, Maryland 1997 - Appointed the Position of an Executive Director of the World Martial Arts Hall of Fame 1997 - Hosted the 2nd Martial Arts Hall of Fame Banquet in Baltimore 1997 - Inducted into the World Martial Arts Hall of Fame as Promoter of the Year 1998 - Received the Living Legend Award From Shihan Robert Everhart, Nippon Kenpo Karate-Do Jttsu-Ha 1998 - Inducted into the World Martial Arts Hall of Fame with the Golden Life Achievement Award 1998 - Co-Found the North American Hall of Fame Inc. With Dr. Rocky Farley 1999 - Inducted into the North American Black Belt Hall Of Fame as Outstanding Contributions to the Martial Arts 1999 - Master Instructor Award from Shihan Robert Everhart 1999 - Back On the Road Again to Compete and to Help My Friends Run Their Events, Something I Have Been Doing for the Pass 24 Years 2000 - Inducted in to the North American Black Belt Hall Of Fame as Man of the Year - Kobudo 2001 - Two times Overall Kata Grand champion 2002 - Inducted in to the Virginia World Martial Arts Halt of Fame as Master of the Year Spirit Award 2003- Inducted into the World Wide Martial Arts Hall Of Fame as Master Instructor of the Year - Goju-Ryu 2004- Took a break to tour with my Music ,Writing, Recording, and Performing 2005- Restarted The Maryland Black Belt Association 2005- Joined The Baltimore Karate Circuit 2006 - This is my 45th year in the martial arts, and I still take classes with my instructor Koncho Nate Sanders 8th Dan Okinawan Goju-Ryu & Ryukyu Kobudo
