Graduated University of Baltimore - 1985  (MBA) Masters in Business Administration.

Married Elizabeth P. Valentine in 1975 and they live in Lutherville, MD.

Active at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Lutherville, Maryland.

 

Served on the board of directors of the Timonium-Hunt Valley Kiwanis.

North American Black Belt Hall of Fame in Baltimore, Maryland, on September 22, 2001. Also received the Diamond Life Award for 30-40 years in the martial arts.

Eastern USA International Martial Arts Association Black Belt Hall of Fame in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, on November 3, 2001. Also received the Silver Lifetime Achievement Award for over 30 years in the martial arts.

Action Martial Arts Magazine International Hall of Fame in Atlantic City, New Jersey, on January 19, 2002. Also received the Silver Lifetime Achievement Award for over 30 years in the martial arts.
