13. Was a Real Estate Agent for Long and Foster for many years. 14. Began martial arts training in 1969 with the Karate/Self Defense Club under Grand Master Hans C. Kliemisch in the art of Kenpo Karate. 15. Trained with 10th degree Professor David D. Rix in the Chin-Na system with the Defenders Club. 16. Earned Shodan 1st degree Black Belt under10th degree Grand Master Francisco Estaban Conde of the Oriental Defensive Arts Association on November 29, 1975. 17. Earned 4th degree Black Belt in Yin-Chuan Kenpo, Chin-Na, Ju-Jitsu, Judo and Mu Du Kwon on February 18, 1989. |

18. In 1994, earned 5th degree Black Belt under Professor David D. Rix. 19. On May 28, 1994, was elected to the Special Unit Instructors Academy from Professor David D. Rix 20. Earned 6th degree Black Belt in Yin-Chuan on September 13, 1997. 21. Competed in 23 open tournaments in Anne Arundel County, Fredericksburg VA, Lancaster PA, Coatsville PA, and Baltimore County and Baltimore City. 22. Won mostly 1st and 2nd place trophies in competition. 23. She has taught at 14 different karate schools. 24. She is Vice President of Maryland Professional Karate Association, Inc. 25. Teaches self defense courses for the United Steelworkers/Bethlehem Steel Career Development Program. 26. She and her husband began 1st karate studio at 5407 Harford Rd in Baltimore City in 1971. 27. Opened Holabird Martial Arts Studio at 6707 Holabird Ave in 1977. 28. She now oversees the operation on 10 MPKA studios throughout the state of Maryland. 29. As of 2001, the students in the MPKA system have won over 6,000 trophies in competition. 30. She and her husband conduct 4 martial arts tournaments each year. 31. She taught self defense courses for women at Dundalk Community College and various other locations. 32. Has conducted numerous demonstrations, shows and seminars at clubs and organizations in public schools, scouting, churches, Catholic youth groups, Sons of Italy, Elks, Red Shield Boys Clubs, Maryland Special Olympics, etc. 33. Is an active member of the Patapsco/Dundalk Historical Society. 34. Served on Board of the Patapsco Neck Recreation Council. 35. Has sponsored girls softball teams, boys little league teams and bowling teams. 36. Was inducted into the World Wide Martial Arts Hall of Fame in Fulton, New York on June 9, 2001, and was elected to the Board of Directors. Also received the Silver Life Achievement Award for over 30 years in the martial arts. 37. Inducted into the North American Black Belt Hall of Fame, September 22, 2001 in Baltimore, Maryland. 38. Promoted to SHICHI DAN, 7th Degree Black Belt, on September 22, 2001, by the North American University Sokeship Council and by Dr. David D. Rix on October 14, 2001. 39. Inducted into the Eastern U.S.A. International Martial Arts Hall of Fame, November 3, 2001, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and awarded the Silver Life Achievement award. 40. Appointed Vice President of the U.S.A. Professional Black Belt Martial Arts Association, November 10, 2001. 41. Inducted into the Action Martial Arts Magazine’s Hall of Fame on January 19, 2002, in Atlantic City, New Jersey. 42. Member, Dundalk Chamber of Commerce. 43.
