SIXTH DEGREE BLACK BELT REQUIREMENTS

1. Twenty years, unbroken service with M.P.K.A.

2. Instructs classes at least twice weekly on a scheduled basis

3. Attends and judges ninety eight percent of M.P.K.A. tournaments

4. Inducted into three or more martial arts halls of fame

5. Has competed in at least twenty tournaments

6. Has earned the following awards:

A. Attendance

B. 500 Hours

C. 1000 Hours

D. Technique

E. Mat Tatami

F. Kumite

G. Kata

H. Weapons

I. Attitude

J. Chinese Bandit

K. Presidential Sports Award

7. Must have won thirty awards in competition

8. Three book reports:

A. Worldwide Laws of Life…..John Templeton

B. Age Protectors......Prevention Books…Edward Clafin

C. Ultimate Book of Martial Arts……Fay Goodman

9. Write a fictitious martial arts story that has a moral to it

10. Has performed one hundred community service hours

( i.e. Boy Scouts, Church, Charities, Politics, Community Association, Hospital,

Youth Group, Military Associations, etc)
